Evening Mural
By: Lexa Sherrill
Paint me a mural with a cool, icy stream,
Make me a cabin, the one from my dream.
Dig me a well and put in a fountain,
Drape in a mist to color my mountain.
Color the sky both yellow and red,
And a proud eagle soaring in the sky overhead.
Put in the sun and the very first star,
Twinkling there, so close, but so far.
Paint the moon with an eerie glow,
Draw in a path to the village below.
Now seat me a leather chair by the fire,
So I can enjoy the animal’s choir.
Now take a step back and show me again,
How I can share God’s Blessing with men.
