Inside a Bee’s Journal

Dear Diary,                                                                        

Well, today is just another day! I woke up, combed my hair, and headed out the door. We’re down another 2 honey jars, and my mother, Queen Bee, is not happy. As for me, Bernard Honeydew, I have nothing to do all day; until I’m older.

 One of our main workers is sick, which is not good! When one person gets sick in the Honey Comb Nation, everyone gets sick. My grandmother, Lucy Honeydew, is coming to replace the sick worker until he gets better. I volunteered to do it but they said I was too young and that they didn’t want a little five year getting lost. I corrected them and told then I was 14 and I knew my way better then my grandmother! They still said no, so I went to my room and didn’t come out till super time!

Speaking of super time, tonight is Honey and Leaf Pizza! That’s my favorite kind of pizza; my least favorite is twig and jelly pizza. I always feel so bad about the humans who walk away for one moment and come back and their jelly sandwiches are gone! I believe in the Honey Comb Nation Laws but not the one about stealing the food when the humans aren’t watching. That is totally rude and outrageous! I would have thought by now that they would have stopped doing that. Obviously, they don’t remember what happened to Sir Captain Edward Mc.Hive, went to go get the sandwich but got eaten alive by the human. All I can say is he learned his lesson!

Dear Diary,

Well I’m back again but with a different pen! My mother gave me a pen because I helped her clean her royal chair. This pen means a lot to me. I was in the paper and on the Thrown News Channel, just for cleaning her chair. (I should do it more often.

Everyone today is celebrating a brand new member of the Nation, Joe Honeydew; my new brother. My whole life is going to change. I won’t get my special pens any more because Joe will be getting them. But I’m not going to let a baby brother ruin my fun.

I think I’m going to go to the Melting Hive tonight to go eat. We’re having just plain Honey….talk about boring. I’m going to get a double honey burger and leaves which come with a tasty sauce. I already taste it now.

I just found out that we all have a new Princess, Princess Justien Everhoney.
