  Spikers handed their second loss in the national tournament

The Mustang Volleyball team suffered two losses in their first National Tournament appearance. On the opening day of the tournament, Morningside fell 3-1 to their first opponent, the Point Loma Nazarene Sea Lions. The Mustangs won the opening set in a hard fought 25-21 set. Catie Bobier, Amber Jarzynka, and Addi Radke, had crucial kills against the Sea Lions, to carry that set win. (Dec. 5)

to Lindenwood, 34-31

  Coach pleased with Cross Country Nationals outcome

  Mustangs topple Chargers 76-74

The Morningside men’s basketball team snapped Briar Cliff’s winning streak when they defeated them last Tuesday 76-74. It was a heated game between the two rivals with several lead changes but when the clock ran out the Mustangs were on top. “Any time Morningside plays Briar Cliff it’s a given that it’s going to be a tough game,” said senior Brady Helmink.   Mustang men, women swimmers lose dual against Luther College

The Mustangs swim team fell two weekends ago in Decorah, Iowa on November 22.
In a dual against Luther College, Morningside lost 169-31 on the women’s side and 157-41 on the men’s side. The ‘Stangs came home with a lone first place finish from senior, Scott Anderson, who swam to an 18:08.91 win in the men’s 1650-yard freestyle. (Dec. 5)
