Jungho Kim
A Violinist
and Conductor from a family of philosophers and teachers in Korea, Jungho
Kim is a graduate from College-Conservatory of Music at University of
Cincinnati where he earned his master's degrees both in violin performance
and in orchestral conducting. Active as a performing violinist,
he has conducted numerous concerts in collaboration with the string orchestra
Queen City Virtuosi which he is music director/conductor of. The orchestra
consists of players from the world-over, including the United States,
China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and France. He has enjoyed working with soloists
such as Anna Vaiman and Dr. Piotr Milewski, among many others. Recently,
he has been selected to take part in workshops/Master's Classes with
master conductors such as Kurt Mazur and Kenneth Kiesler. Currently he
is serving at the Sioux City Symphony as Education Director and is cover-conducting
Xian Zhang, with whom he studied conducting in Cincinnati. He is
also teaching and conducting in the Youth Orchestra Programs and
developing the Early String Program at the Kucinski Academy/Morningside
College.
