Described by the New York Times as a player "with quiet virtuosity." Dr. Auerbach earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University as a student of Arnold Steinhardt. He also holds B.M. and M.M. degrees from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Dorothy DeLay, Felix Galimir, Harvey Shapiro and Lewis Kaplan.
