Registration: An annual $10 registration fee per child plus 1/8 of total tuition is required at the time of registration unless applying for a need-based scholarship.
Payment of Fees: No bills will be sent and late fees will be assessed. Payment is expected by the 15th of each month. Please remit all payments to the LKAM office. Do not pay the teacher(s) directly.
Withdrawal and refunds: There is a two-month minimum for all lessons/classes. One-month written notice by the first of the month is required to discontinue any class. Withdrawal must be done at the music office and not with the teacher.
Missed Lessons and Make-up Lessons: Absolutely no make-up lessons will be given for missed lessons unless absence is due to serious illness and 24-hour notice has been given to the teacher. Make-up lessons will be limited to 2 per academic year; there are no exceptions. If the teacher is forced to cancel a lesson and cannot find a substitute, the lesson will be made up.
Private Lesson Visitation: Parents wishing to attend their child’s lesson should consult with the child’s instructor.
Instruments/Music: It is the responsibility of the student to have a suitable instrument available for every lesson and to obtain the required books prior to the lesson.
Care of Students: LKAM and Morningside College are not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Students are not to be left at the music building for excessive time before or after classes.
Responsibility of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of specific dates and times of events. LKAM will email notices and post them on the website at www.kucinskiacademy.com.
Injuries: Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after lesson time.
Photo release: LKAM is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.
