Day-Sponsorship //
Morningside students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to sponsor an
entire day of KMSC programming for just $20. We'll read your announcement on-air
four times a day and post it on the KMSC website.

/ Recognize an important holiday
/ Say hi, thanks, or goodbye

The Fine Print //
The FCC limits what we, as a non-commercial station, can say during a
sponsorship announcement. We'll work with you to get your message across within the rules. Here a few examples of perfectly acceptable announcements:
/ "Today's programming on KMSC is sponsored by
Jill, who wants everyone to know that Jack is the greatest guy around."
/ "Today's programming on KMSC is sponsored by Bob,
who congratulates the Morningside Mustangs for their excellent season."
/ "Today's programming on KMSC is sponsored by
Delano, who encourages everyone listening to keep the Christmas spirit alive
this holiday season."
/ "Today's programming on KMSC is sponsored by
Sarah, who wants to say thanks to the Morningside music department for a
wonderful Homecoming concert."
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
/ Day sponsorship announcements will be aired
once during each daypart, for a total of four readings (8 a.m., noon, 4 p.m.,
and 9 p.m.). In addition, we'll post your announcement on our website.
/ Day sponsorship announcements will not exceed 20
seconds in length. The above examples give a pretty good idea of the material
one has to work with.
/ Day sponsorship announcements will be read live
by the on-duty announcer whenever possible, or will be pre-recorded and inserted
into our automated programming.
/ Language in Day sponsorship announcements will be
positive in nature.
/ No languages attacking persons, institutions, or
ideas is permissible.
/ Announcements on political and social subjects
are acceptable so long as the language is positive and tasteful.
/ There is no limit to the number of day
sponsorships and individual will be allowed to purchase.
/ Day sponsorships will be scheduled on a
first-come, first-served, basis.
/ Payment must be received by KMSC at least 10 days prior to announcement.
/ A master schedule of Day sponsorships is
available through the Underwriting Director, KMSC.
