Online Master's Degree Professional Foundations Core Courses

The Master's Degree Professional Foundations Core courses are available in an online format to students regardless of location.  Please note the section numbers.  Courses that are totally online have a section number ending in 95.  If a course has more than one section, it may have a section number of A95, B95, C95, etc.  You may register for any section that is available.

The following one-credit-hour courses will be offered online.  Each is designed to meet a particular content area required for the Iowa Middle School Endorsement.  They may also be taken as part of the Professional Educator Master’s degree or for professional growth to use for licensure renewal.  EDUC 863 begins at the start of the term only (September 15); all other courses may be started at any time until November 3.  All courses must be completed by the end of the fall term (December 10).

Tuition is $160 per course.

Online Technology Courses - Available through LDA-Iowa

 

The following online courses are now being offered through Learning Disabilities Association of Iowa (LDA-I) for Morningside graduate credit. Please note that these courses will no longer qualify for financial aid. 

Each course can be taken for 1 to 3 hours of graduate credit.  The courses are designed for your classroom situation, grades K-12.  All courses must be completed by the end of the fall term (December 10).

The courses can still be used as part of the Morningside Professional Educator Master’s degree or for professional growth to use for licensure renewal or for salary advancement. 

The tuition is $120 per credit hour.  Tami Little is the instructor for the classes numbered 801-815, and Patty Duncan is the instructor for the classes numbered 816-823.
