K-12 Special Education Consultant

Endorsement Program Requirements

Persons seeking an endorsement may, in most cases, satisfy the requirements with a combination of undergraduate and graduate hours.  A transcript analysis done by the licensure officer or other designated staff member will indicate which courses the student needs to complete Morningside’s approved endorsement program.

All hours for this endorsement must be graduate hours that are taken in addition to the bachelor’s and master’s degree program hours. If these hours are taken as part of a master's degree program, Morningside cannot recommend an individual for the endorsement until the degree is awarded. The endorsement must match the area of special education endorsement and teaching experience.

Hold an endorsement in special education and have teaching experience in that endorsement area.

Hold a master’s degree at the time of recommendation.
