Endorsement Program Requirements

 

Persons seeking an endorsement may, in most cases, satisfy the requirements with a combination of undergraduate and graduate hours.  A transcript analysis done by the licensure officer or other designated staff member will indicate which courses the student needs to complete Morningside’s approved endorsement program.

Required Courses:

EDUC 204	Adolescent Literature	2 hrs.
EDUC 300	Instructional Design and Assessment	4 hrs
EDUC 315	Teaching Reading/Language Arts & Practicum	4 hrs.
EDUC 324G	Reading in Content Areas	4 hrs.
EDUC 414G	Diagnostic Teaching of Reading & Practicum	4 hrs.
EDUC 498G	Language Acquisition and Development	2 hrs.
EDUC 200	Composition and Communication	4 hrs.

 

Total Hours Required for the Endorsement                                 24 hrs.
