Endorsement Program Requirements

 

Persons seeking an endorsement may, in most cases, satisfy the requirements with a combination of undergraduate and graduate hours.  A transcript analysis completed by the licensure officer or other designated staff member will indicate which courses the student needs to complete Morningside’s approved endorsement program.

Prerequisite:

     Survey of Exceptionalities

 

Required Courses:

EDUC 324G	Reading in the Content Areas	4 hrs.
SPED 361G	Introduction to Mild/Moderate Disabilities	4 hrs.
SPED 407G	Diagnostic Teaching of Math & Practicum	2 hrs.
SPED 431G	Applied Behavioral Analysis	4 hrs.
SPED 532	7-12 Mild/Moderate Methods & Practicum	2 hrs.
SPED 551	Educational Assessment	4 hrs.
SPED 642	Internship: Instructional Strategist I 7-12	3 hrs.
SPED 672	Special Education Law	2 hrs.
SPED 676	Collaborative Partnerships and Transition	3 hrs.

 

Total Hours Required for the Endorsement:                                     28 hrs.
