Application for Admission to Graduate Study Deadlines

Application for Admission to Graduate Study at Morningside College are processed at all times through the year.  Each applicant may be formally admitted for the upcoming term up to Validation Day of the fall and spring terms and the first day of the summer term (not the first day of each specific class).

  • Spring 2010 Validation Day - January 5, 2010
  • Summer 2010 First Day of Term - June 1, 2010
  • Fall 2010 Validation Day - August 24, 2010

 

Master’s Degree Candidate Deadlines

October 1

Intent to Graduate form and Admission to Candidacy application due for May graduates

February 1

Comprehensive exams due for May graduates

February 15

Final submission date for research report for May graduates

May 8

Applications for Supervised Internships

All coursework for a teaching endorsement must be completed before the final internship may be done.  Applications are found in the Applications/Forms link. 

Due dates for Special Education internship applications:

Applications for Financial Aid

Financial assistance may be available for graduate courses registered and billed through Morningside College.  Courses registered and billed through AEAs, local school districts, LDA-Iowa, or VESi do not qualify for financial aid or for loan deferment.  Individuals seeking financial assistance for graduate work must be formally admitted to graduate study at Morningside College for the term for which they are seeking assistance.  In addition, individuals must complete a FAFSA for the appropriate term/year and the Morningside Financial Aid Application for Graduate Students.  Please see the Financial Aid Information page for additional information on financial aid options for graduate students.
