Each year since 1938, with a few, short interruptions, Morningside College student editors have produced a magazine of student-written literature.
The student editor gains valuable experience in all aspects of magazine production, from assembling and guiding a staff, to soliciting submissions, to selecting the highest quality work, to designing the pages and cover, to copy editing and proof-reading, and, finally, to distributing the final product. Serving as the editor or as a staff member is valuable experience for students who plan to work in some aspect of publications development.
Serving as the chief editor of the magazine is a credit-producing student-internship position which gives students practical experience in literary matters as well as in running an organization.
Students interested in being involved with the magazine should contact Dr. Stephen Coyne.
