Worship/Chapel
Services
Worship at Morningside is an opportunity for all members
of the Morningside College community to experience God and to connect
with our brothers and sisters. Providing a variety of worship styles
enables worshippers to grow in their faith as they grow in knowledge
and understanding. Student leaders bring energy and creativity to the
worship experience, and services are always alive and active.

Mission Opportunities
Working with several local mission groups as well as with the United
Methodist Volunteers in Mission allows Morningside College
faculty, students, and staff
a variety of mission opportunities – at the local Gospel Mission, working
with Habitat for Humanity and other local service groups, or traveling to help
with hurricane relief efforts. Those interested in mission experiences should
contact the Campus Ministry office at (712) 274-5148.

Peace & Justice
at Morningside
As we commit to upholding the sacredness of all
human life and the need to be an informed society, the office of Campus
Ministries has
engaged with a number of agencies whose missions are specific to
international and/or domestic initiatives toward peace and justice.
Connections
we have made include: American Friends Service Committee, Amnesty
International, Bread for the World, CAP-DV (Campuses for the Awareness
and Prevention of Domestic Violence), Christian Social Action, The
General Board of Church and Society, Habitat for Humanity, and Project
Hope. Through our involvement, we seek to promote awareness of local,
national, and international crises and move toward responsible action
and grace.

Spiritual Growth
Participation in weekly small group ministries such as Bible studies,
book studies, mission teams, and prayer groups provides opportunities
for students to explore new ideas, to experience the care of new
friends, and grow in their faith. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes
meets weekly and is a growing and active group that reaches out
to both athletes and non-athletes.
