Dr. Pam Mickelson served as Executive Vice President of a FBO and a charter airfreight business in Kansas City before joining the faculty at Morningside College in 1985. Her graduate degrees are from Arkansas State University and Oklahoma State University where she held research and teaching assistantships. She serves as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education, secured grants from the Coleman Foundation and U.S. Department of Education. Her teaching includes advertising and capstone business courses. Dr. Mickelson leads the Creative Edge Advertising Team to regional and national competitions against universities of 20,000 or more students. In the National Cadillac Competition selected Pam’s team as the National Championship Team in Detroit, judged for Cadillac and Modernista Ad Agency after a pitch in May of 2007. The team has consistently placed with their campaigns among the top. Two first place teams developed campaigns for Pizza Hut and the Dodge Neon in the World Series of Advertising at Kansas City and Tampa.

Pam has been selected by both faculty and students for their Faculty Person of the Year Award and the Teaching Excellence Award, in addition she also received the Ad Pro of the Year, and Advertising Educator of the Year both American Advertising Federation awards. She serves as faculty advisor for the E Group, an entrepreneurship co curricular group and organized study tours in Australia, Puerto Rico and the Southern US.
