Morningside College invites applications for a position in Music Education, a tenure track appointment at the assistant professor level in the Department of Music. Primary responsibilities include courses in the music education sequence and supervision of student teachers. Teaching load will also include courses according to the candidate’s background and interest. The successful candidate will show evidence of effective teaching at the elementary school level, a thorough knowledge of Orff and Kodály preferred, and an understanding of the pre-adolescent voice. A masters degree is required, with doctorate preferred.
