The next step is to request a student entry visa into the United States . This process happens at a United States Embassy or consulate in your country. To read more about the visa application process visit intourvisa
These
are the documents that you must have when applying for
a student entry visa to the United States:
- a valid passport for at least 6 months
- an I-20 Form
- a copy of financial documents
- Two
2"x 2" photographs in the prescribed format

- a receipt of the SEVIS fee. If you have not received an official receipt in the mail showing payment and you paid the fee electronically, the consulate will accept the temporary receipt you printed from your computer. If you do not have a receipt, the consulate may be able to see your payment electronically if your fee payment was processed at least 3 business days before your interview.
- school admission letter
- financial evidence that shows you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition and living expenses during the period intended to study.
- any information that proves that you will return to your home country after finishing your studies in the United States. This may be proof of property, family, or other ties to your community.
If your application is approved, you will get a visa stamp on your passport. This stamp, together with your I-20 Form, will allow you to enter the United States.
