Candidates for the Teacher Preparation Program are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA and to meet minimum Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST) scores.  Students must achieve a total composite score of 520 or greater when totaling the reading, writing and math scores, with no individual score lower than 170.  The PPST test is given once a year on campus in January.  Elementary teaching candidates must pass the Praxis II before licensure.   For information about registering for the PPST exam, call Western Iowa Tech at 274-6443 or register online at www.ets.org/praxis.  The Praxis II is given twice a year on campus.  Contact the Education Department for more information on Praxis II at 712-274-5106.  For other information about admission, contact Morningside Admissions at 712-274-5111, or mcsadm@morningside.edu.
